Reception: •
President’s Weekend – February 12-14, I will be at Beaver Creek Fine Art for the first of three Winter Artist-in-Residence events. During the day, you can look for me on the mountain, around the town – painting. I am keeping my fingers crossed for sunny days and lots of snow – that makes for the best plein air paintings. Come by the gallery any time after 3:00 PM; see what I painted during the day. Of course, I will be painting in the gallery too – still developing that plan. Hope to see you there!

Reception: 2/4/2009 • 2:00-4:00pm
Don Sahli ¾ an American painter, teacher of Art of Painting from the Russian School of Painting ¾ and Barnes & Noble Booksellers are celebrating Sahli’s 30-year career in the fine arts. Sahli’s ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE TOUR 2009 offers art lovers a special opportunity to see an artist living his work, continuing his journey. Don will bring his “studio” to Barnes & Noble Colorado stores. There he will capture on canvas the hustle and bustle of the busy book store or the poetry of a still life. Either way art enthusiasts can see Sahli complete a painting from start to finish. This “painting from life” demonstration will show what the world looks like through the mind and eyes of an artist. As Don paints, artists and collectors alike can view the methods used in his approach to painting and teaching. Questions and comments will be entertained and fun will be had by all.
Barnes & Noble will offer Sahli’s art instruction DVDs: Art of Painting – Interactive Art Instruction DVD Collection. The first two instructional DVDs – Still Life and En Plein Air and the inspirational DVD – A Painter’s Journey are available for purchase.
